This project was part of my earliest exhibition experiences and emerged from an interest in portraiture, image reproduction, and the new possibilities offered by digital media.
The installation consisted of multiple versions of a shared visual vocabulary distributed throughout the space. While small-scale prints were dispersed across the gallery, a single large-scale image occupied the far end of the room, functioning as a focal point within the installation. This shift between repetition and scale transformed the relationship between the image, the space, and the viewer.
In this work, reproduction was not simply a method of producing multiple copies of an image, but a way of observing the changes and possibilities that emerged through each act of translation and reproduction.
The project was one of my first explorations of the image as something beyond a two-dimensional surface—an image capable of expanding into space, repeating itself, and establishing new relationships with its environment and audience.
